The Golf Club at Yarmouthport is located within the gated Kings Way community on the historic north side of Cape Cod’s village of Yarmouthport. The golf course plays to a par of 60 featuring spectacular, elevating changes; Scottish bunkers; undulating greens; and beautiful views of the Cape’s salt marshes and bay vistas. Although the Club is private, it currently offers limited public play.
Memberships are available for singles, couples and families, and the Club currently has waived its initiation fees. Several membership categories are available and the affordable dues structure is an attractive incentive to joining. Residency at Kings Way is not a requirement for membership in the Club.
World-renowned architect Brian Silva masterfully designed the course to be enjoyed and challenged by golfers from all handicap levels. An executive course with one par 5 and five par 4 holes, the course measures just over 4,000 yards in length and can be played easily in less than four hours. Accuracy is important to a successful round, although the course is friendly to all skill levels and is a particularly good choice for families to enjoy golfing together.
With a superb short game practice area, a large practice putting green, and a long game practice area, The Golf Club at Yarmouthport provides multiple avenues for improving one’s game. Former New England PGA Teacher of the Year, Bob Miller, serves as Director of Golf, with frequent clinics and lessons available. His wife, LPGA pro Lisanne Miller, also provides instruction with some programs geared specifically for women.
Making people feel at home is a primary attraction for membership. New members frequently comment on the friendliness of the Club and the ease with which new members feel that they are a part of things. The club offers weekly men and women’s group play, a large range of social activities, club tournaments, a swimming pool, access to tennis courts, and a fully stocked golf pro shop.
The attractive Clubhouse includes locker rooms for men and women, a meeting room for Club groups, the pro shop and offices, and a restaurant and tavern. In addition to the numerous member tournaments, the Club serves as a venue for outside tournaments and outings, with many groups returning year-after-year.
